In 2026, 21st Century launched a new venture with the opening of a location focused on sports physical therapy. Saltech Systems built the technology foundation from scratch, setting up printers, network infrastructure, VoIP phones, and camera systems. The project equipped the new location to operate with modern, integrated technology designed to support secure and efficient healthcare operations.
Starting with a blank slate meant bringing a diverse set of systems together into one connected environment. A central challenge was to separate sensitive internal data from customer connectivity while making sure staff could use the systems they needed across the facility.
The vision was to create a secure technology environment that felt straightforward for staff to use. By bringing essential systems together and building security into the network, the project aimed to support efficient daily operations and reduce user-side IT issues.
Saltech installed a Ubiquiti wireless network with UniFi switches and Wi-Fi 6 access points. Building-wide scans helped verify coverage throughout the facility, supporting reliable connectivity wherever staff need to work.
VLANs separate internal users from customer connectivity, helping keep sensitive resources apart from guest access. Network traffic is logged to provide historical records that can support review and incident response.
An enterprise-grade firewall with intrusion detection and prevention helps protect the network from incoming threats. This security layer works alongside network segmentation to support a safer technology environment for the clinic.
Saltech implemented a unified camera and network management system. Authorized staff can view cameras, access VPN connections, and manage network access through a convenient system—simplifying administration and helping reduce downtime during network issues.
