Seconds Count is a versatile mobile timing and training application. The application incorporates data tracking, video saving, analytics, and comparison of performance data. The app creates a unique, all-inclusive experience with a diverse set of features on a singular platform.
In this case study, we will analyze how the Seconds Count application simplifies training and performance tracking. By taking advantage of custom-built technology from Saltech, Seconds Count was able to create a multipurpose app that brings new features to the mobile application space.
On the market, there are a variety of stop-watch and timing apps, yet nothing that has timing, data tracking, and video on a single platform. The application turns video recordings into downloadable files with time markers and real data.
Using multiple applications and inconsistent timing methods is ineffective. When measuring time, nothing should be slowing you down, especially the application you are using to do so. Seconds Count, by using innovative video timing, allows for greater precision with fewer errors, as well as in-app data storage, and video playback options to keep everything you need in a single place.
Video timing: Patent-pending video timing adds greater precision without additional equipment.
Data logging: All timed data can be permanently stored in the application and exported into Excel-like sheets.
Innovation: The app was created from the ground up to have exclusive features that separate it from its competitors.

In order to solve this problem, we needed to understand the client’s goals and need for the application. We initiated a meeting to understand the “why” behind the product. Finding out the owner wanted a better application that helped his son with training. We then teamed up to create a solution to implement all of his ideas and make a one-of-a-kind app. With our talented team of developers, we were then able to get started on making this idea come to life!
In the end, we created an application with innovative features so its customers could train smarter and more efficiently. As it is app based, users are able to access different features via a “Lite” and “Pro” version.
The application also features video sharing, where the user has the option to allow videos to be publicly accessed and commented on. Additional features include virtual competitions and a support page with video tutorials.
Our team curated the app to be available on both Apple and Google Play stores to reach the largest audience possible. Making sure Every Second Counts.
